Five Cengage Group Products Named 2022 SIIA CODiE Awards Finalists

We are thrilled to have five Cengage Group products named finalists for the 2022 CODiE Awards. The CODiE Awards are presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), and it is the only peer-reviewed program that showcases the most exciting and transformative products in EdTech. Cengage Group products recognized this year help students with college and career readiness, aid the development of key critical thinking skills, and allow learners to dive deeper into a variety of important and timely topics.

These three National Geographic Learning products were recognized for reflecting the latest research, up-to-date content, diverse artwork, and access to rare, hard to find primary sources. The National Geographic Learning finalists are hosted on MindTap, National Geographic Learning’s transformational portal for teaching and learning. Interactivity, a variety of assessments, and the ability to customize courses offer teachers and students a rich learning experience.

Political Extremism and Radicalism is a digital archive series that provides insight on unorthodox political groups and movements from both the far right and left of the political spectrum through providing digital access to rare, hard to find primary sources supporting the study of extremism, racism, activism, cultural studies, political science, policy studies, gender studies, sexuality, race, religion, civil rights and many other related areas of research. The archive was recognized for its curriculum support of researching/teaching extremism and activism.

– MindTap, Cengage

MindTap, Cengage Group’s flagship online learning platform, is used to power teaching and learning in in-person, online or hybrid course formats. MindTap enables instructors to create personalized learning experiences to engage students and boost performance, while delivering access to their eTextbook, study tools, assessments, multimedia and performance analytics. The platform was recognized for new functionalities including the personal study plan and performance reporting, side-by-side activities for students, and the ability for instructors to edit existing assessment content and use a new workflow to create completely new, custom assignments.

 

Each CODiE Award nomination receives a detailed review by industry experts including executives, analysts, media, investors, educators and administrators. Product entrants conduct live demos to the judges, and the judges assess them against category specific criteria. Top scorers are then announced as finalists. Finalists receive a second-round "peer" review by SIIA members and select first round judges between April 25 and May 6 and winners will be announced during the 2022 SIIA Annual Conference on Thursday, June 9th.
